December 28, woke up around 8 am. Got up, took a bath, dressed up and went to the city hall to pay some taxes. I thought it would just be very quick. I was wrong. Bakit ang daming tao?? Well I think it’s a normal scene inside the hall and I said to myself that it would be a long day for me considering that I have a debut to attend. It was the debut of my gradeschool classmate and pal, Shyrelle! Happy Birthday ulet!
Before the event, Maron and I went to Southmall (yeah) to buy our friend a gift for her birthday. At first we had no idea what to buy. The quick-thinking (It’s quick but I don’t know if it’s a great one. Spare him coz what we’re supposed to buy is a girl stuff) Maron, thought of buying stuff in the body shop. We got one. Moving on, we dressed up into our formal attire and went to our friend’s house to pick him (Gerard) up and our other pal (Desi). We knew that the venue was in Intramuros but not so sure though where in Intramuros the place is located. We have a feeling that we know how to get to Intramuros when suddenly… Howrang! We found ourselves lost in the middle of a narrow and dark street. Adding up to our worries, the fuel gauge is near ‘E’. Great huh!? The place was creepy I tell you and it’s the worst place you can get your car stalled. Fortunately, a good man gave us the right directions and at last, we reached the place.
We were a little hesitant to walk inside the place knowing that we’re already 1 hour plus late. I felt really awkward having to see the guests’ head turned to the four of us as we strolled towards our seats. Most of the guests were done eating while we’re just on our way to get our plates. Soon we found out that they’re just waiting for us to arrive to start the program. Nakakahiya grabe. Eto pa, tinawag na yung mga roses (isa kami dun) pero kumakain pa kami. Nakakahiya talaga. We rushed and our quick ability to eat showed up. Now, it’s time to dance and we’re so damn nervous. After dancing, we got re-acquainted with our two former classmates, Rochelle and Christopher. Moments later, our other classmate Karlo arrived just when we thought that we’re the last ones to arrive. Thanks to Karlo, hindi kami yung pinaka-late. Now that’s something to cheer about. Haha. While conversing with our friends, we were able to see the “beautiful surroundings”. Ahaha. You know what I mean. Someone from our group was saddened because she’s not available anymore. No names! Haha, too bad…
Well it’s time to go now. Karlo hitched in and the ever so generous (Haha) Maron drove us to our respective places. Thanks dude, thanks to the debutant, to the good guy who gave us directions and to YOU.
Nakakapagod pero astig yung araw pati na rin yung moon last night. Ahaha. Advance Happy New Year to all! Enjoy the Holidays! God Bless us all!
My earnest greetings to all of you! Have you felt the traditional inexplicable warmth that Christmas always brings to us? Filipinos usually have this long season for Christmas; starting 9 days before and well beyond Christmas day, I think. Haha! As Christmas day started to approach, I didn’t feel much of the spirit I usually feel during the past Christmas seasons. Thanks to the little boys and gals who caroled night in night out, I slowly felt that indeed, Christmas is fast approaching. On the eve of Christmas, we watched movies up until midnight. The clock ticked at 12 o’clock and there it is, His birthday! The day itself was again filled with activities, but not as many as what we used to have. Once again relatives came by and so as the “non-relatives” who posed for Christmas gifts. My ina-anak’s came and my wallet is not that stuffed. Oh great! I managed to hand them out some cash though. The day went by so hastily and soon, I found myself lying on my bed, getting ready to kiss the wonderful day goodbye. I guess that would be all for Christmas… New year’s coming! Let’s just enjoy the remaining days of our vacation.

1000h, I finished my exam and it's now time to go to Batopik's first official gig. Yes, you read it right. It's our first official gig! First, a little bit of an introduction... Batopik (the band), if I'm not mistaken was formed during the first term of our second year stay at DLSU. And the members are: Frytz Razal - our ever so magnificent songer, Kester Noveno - the splendid and lofty lead guitarist, JP "chick hunter" Acuña - his majesty on the rhythm guitar, Geric Genson - the brilliant and gleaming bassist of the band and yours truly, Loyvin Ramirez - the sooper shy drummer (yun lang?). Ahaha. (Nga pala, Renz Sui - the illustrious and prominent recruit of the band.) Pucha, ang hirap isipin ng mga adjectives na yan... Hehehe. So moving on... JP told us that his father wants us to perform at a christmas party in an office somewhere in North Avenue. We all agreed and decided to give it a try.
How'd we get there? We first took the LRT up to EDSA-Taft station and moved to the MRT station. Having to get aboard the train on the first station, we had no problems taking a seat. That was noontime and our tummies are kicking the hell out of us. We didn't have the time to take our lunch. (For the love of the band!) Travel time was about 30 minutes and during that span, my sick imagination together with my companions' made up a lot of things. Syempre ba naman, walang magawa sa loob ng tren at gutom pa kami. We joked about the names of the stations and made up a story out of it. Ayoko na i-share yung mga samples. Ahaha. Bsta, pakwento na lng kayo samen. Yey, at last, North Avenue! It was RADIO VERITAS. We came in and felt intimidation while going up the stairs. First, we looked at the crowd... Guess what, ages ranged from older than our age to much older than our age. Hehe. Peace out! I remember what JP said before we go to the place, "Tugtugin natin Mr. Clay!" Kami naman, "Cge, kaso bka wala makarelate..." "Meron yan..." sabi nya. So there, having to see the crowd... Mr.Clay was definitely vanquished from the playlist. Eto pa ang astig... Drum set seems to be invisible, yes it is out of sight. And the bass guitar, it's really a bass (yung pang orchestra). The setup was not what we expected but what the heck, let the show begin. We performed El Bimbo, Jeepney and She will be loved. Pucha ang hirap ng dipindot na drums. Ahaha. We thought our performance was not great but it wasn't bad either. After that we had a little trip around the radio station. Ang galing! So, the show was over and time for my bandmates and I to head back to Taft. Before aboarding MRT, we received a message from JP saying that we're gonna receive some amount for our performance. Yes, now it's really the first official gig of the band coz we got paid. Yahoo!
During the trip back to taft, our imagination got wilder, enhancing the story we made up even more. Ehehe... Laugh trip to the max!
The whole experience was fun. We greatly appreciate the opportunity given to us by JP's father. It was really a great exposure for the band. A lot of thanks to them! Cheers! Vacation here we come!

Whew! I so tired and stressed out. Why? It's the week before our finals week. There was just a tremendous load of things to do both in academics and in should we say, "personal life." The week was termed as the "defense week." Grabe, hindi lang isa kelangan i-defend, dalawa pa bukod sa kelangan ko pa mag-aral sa iba pang mga subjects. Oh well, everything seemed to have turned out well, i think... Haha! Now that the defense week has passed, I feel a bit relieved. Time to unbrace myself and divert my attention to other "amusing" things. Well that would be up to saturday night only. Why? It's finals week staring monday. Must prepare...
I've got nothing more to say... Until then peeps! Babay!

There goes my alarm again. I rushed downstairs, feeling the excitement, gazed at the morning sky and there is the sun! Yahoo! Finally, the much awaited gathering will push through. I looked at the clock and immediately took a shower. I over-excitedly fixed my things and even forgot valuable toiletries. Now it's time to wait for my pal, Fritz to arrive at our house who'll be my companion on the way to the venue. Time to swim! Before hand, Maron told us that 15 confirmed their attendance but slowly, Maron was texting updates about our friends who said "Nde ako sure pare." Well, for me that's perfectly fine especially those whose reason is that they have morning classes. Other said that they are sure, sure of not going to the event at all. Crap! Naiinis lng talaga ako sa mga inconsistencies sa buhay. I am not perfect but I try to be consistent. For me, it is okay to just simply say I can't make it sorry. Hindi yung cge chong tapos mamaya... Ay sori, biglang hindi ako pwede eh...
Alas! The three musketeros were alive once more! Our friend Maron had this idea on looking for the pink chuck taylor he promised to "the one" of his life. Whoops sorry! But it's a success! Good for you Maron but it's not good for your purse. Fritz and I accompanied him to Festival Mall and mind you it's past 8:30am, the time they set as the start of the reunion. What the heck?! None of them will come on time except for the three of us so we decided to have our lunch at the mall and go to the place afterwards.
Now, it's time to go to Tropical Palace, the venue! And guess what? It's the three of us present! Something to cheer about? Maybe. We started ballin' at the place's court that seemed to be deserted for the past few decades. It got hot and we felt the itch to dip ourselves into the usually ever so chlorinated swimming pool. Ahaha. There were two gals swimming and they looked... Nah, forget it. Time was 3:00pm, and still there were no signs of Archimedes peeps. What we got were text messages saying "dude, can't come eh..." Ahaha... It was about 3:30pm when our good ol' pal desi came and joined our swimming fiasco. Hey, we enjoyed it, a lot! We took turns tossing a coin and raced for it underwater. 6:00pm and our former classmate was persistently telling us to go to her crib and eat dinner. Time to go!
At their house, aside from having our dinner there, we sang "cool" songs and played card tricks with one another. Later that night, Karlo came and joined the fun. Astig shirt niya pramis, bagay pa, jowk! Ang galing ni Viel mag magic at mag joke ng kakornihan pero tampo talaga ako. Ahaha. Well, it's time to go home and face the real world again. Maron drove us to our destinations. Thanks pare!
Quotes that came up during the day:
- "8:30am, 'wag filipino time. Walang pasaway!"
- "Habol na lang ako..."
- "Hindi ako pinayagan eh..."
- "Howrang!" <--- da best!

It's been raining hard yesterday and classes were obviously suspended. What a day! I did not have much options other than stay home, watch the pouring rain, be friends with my PC and the television, eat and eat (I wanna gain some weight but it's not happening... haha), and sleep. It was around 6:30pm, while I was drawing at my cousin's room, the electricity started fluctuating and eventually went down. Noooo! Aside from having my little "piece of art" left unfinished, I won't be able to watch the PBA game and review for the quiz supposedly scheduled for this day. Good thing, classes were called off ahead of time. "Ayos! Makakapag relax din ako..." I grabbed my guitar, started playing some tunes and singing along with my sis and my cuz. Hey, there's nothing more we can do to amuse ourselves during that freezing night. Soon, we got tired and finally decided to sleep. Yay!
Tweet tweet tweet. "Am I really hearing this?" No classes and no rain. Asteeeeg! Now I am certain that our reunion will push through. It was afternoon when Maron and I started texting our gradeschool buddies to know if they are going or not. I don't know but I 'm a bit disappointed having to hear that others who said 'yes' beforehand said 'not so sure' at that point. Where's the consistency man?! Ehehe...Time after time, maron was texting friends of ours that can't make the event. Waaah! I understand the other peeps because of their morning classes, and they said that they'll "try" to make habol. Haha. Sana nga. I expected it to be fun and entertaining and most importantly, many if not all, be present during the gathering. So ayun, sana maging masaya!
One more thing...
"I love you, mahal kita, wo ai ni... So many ways to say, no one to hear..."
Ala lang share ko lang... Hindi ako may gawa nyan. Hehehe...

(Mimicking the sound of my cell phone alarm…) It’s 5:30 in the morning and I put the alarm off. 15 minutes later, I was wondering… “Bakit hindi pa ako ginigising??” I went down and… “Walang pasok. Tulog ka na ulit.” Ako naman, “Ha? E hindi naman malakas ulan ah.” Why wasn’t I happy about the news, immediately at least. I used to be very ecstatic whenever classes are suspended. Maybe I was just too pre-occupied, having to think of the projects and quizzes staring at my face. NEWS FLASH, “Classes are suspended for all levels”. Yahooooo! There goes the usual me! Haha! I can’t be too much delighted. Why? We have a quiz tomorrow unless Yoyong does something about it. But seriously, I am really saddened (walang kaplastikan ‘to) by what have happened up in the north. I am hoping that they could recover but unfortunately, another one’s coming their way, also our way. Waaah! Our gradeschool reunion is in limbo. Hope Yoyong leaves on time.
Ahaha! Yesterday when I was in the comp lab, a friend of mine entered and used what else, a pc. Hehe… I don’t know what happened but as he was typing his password, it appeared on the username field. My other friend saw it too. We were like… “…ano yun? Ah ok…” Then we started laughing. Though I refuse to name that friend of mine. Ok lng yan *****. I am a good friend. Haha. Oh well, that’s life!
I think it’s time for me to chill, relax and prepare myself for the upcoming quizzes and help my group mates in our projects. Wish us luck! I better go and enjoy this freezing day. Babay!
