A Hectic Day
December 28, woke up around 8 am. Got up, took a bath, dressed up and went to the city hall to pay some taxes. I thought it would just be very quick. I was wrong. Bakit ang daming tao?? Well I think it’s a normal scene inside the hall and I said to myself that it would be a long day for me considering that I have a debut to attend. It was the debut of my gradeschool classmate and pal, Shyrelle! Happy Birthday ulet!
Before the event, Maron and I went to Southmall (yeah) to buy our friend a gift for her birthday. At first we had no idea what to buy. The quick-thinking (It’s quick but I don’t know if it’s a great one. Spare him coz what we’re supposed to buy is a girl stuff) Maron, thought of buying stuff in the body shop. We got one. Moving on, we dressed up into our formal attire and went to our friend’s house to pick him (Gerard) up and our other pal (Desi). We knew that the venue was in Intramuros but not so sure though where in Intramuros the place is located. We have a feeling that we know how to get to Intramuros when suddenly… Howrang! We found ourselves lost in the middle of a narrow and dark street. Adding up to our worries, the fuel gauge is near ‘E’. Great huh!? The place was creepy I tell you and it’s the worst place you can get your car stalled. Fortunately, a good man gave us the right directions and at last, we reached the place.
We were a little hesitant to walk inside the place knowing that we’re already 1 hour plus late. I felt really awkward having to see the guests’ head turned to the four of us as we strolled towards our seats. Most of the guests were done eating while we’re just on our way to get our plates. Soon we found out that they’re just waiting for us to arrive to start the program. Nakakahiya grabe. Eto pa, tinawag na yung mga roses (isa kami dun) pero kumakain pa kami. Nakakahiya talaga. We rushed and our quick ability to eat showed up. Now, it’s time to dance and we’re so damn nervous. After dancing, we got re-acquainted with our two former classmates, Rochelle and Christopher. Moments later, our other classmate Karlo arrived just when we thought that we’re the last ones to arrive. Thanks to Karlo, hindi kami yung pinaka-late. Now that’s something to cheer about. Haha. While conversing with our friends, we were able to see the “beautiful surroundings”. Ahaha. You know what I mean. Someone from our group was saddened because she’s not available anymore. No names! Haha, too bad…
Well it’s time to go now. Karlo hitched in and the ever so generous (Haha) Maron drove us to our respective places. Thanks dude, thanks to the debutant, to the good guy who gave us directions and to YOU.
